Some people believe that it’s impossible to be happy, successful, powerful, and beautiful.  Personally, I don’t believe that achieving what one wants to be is impossible… difficult, perhaps, but not impossible.  My belief is that life is all about dynamics, experience, and growth, and that if we allow ourselves to open up enough to let and make our life happen, we can achieve what might seem impossible.

In my practice, I work with individuals and couples who want “things to be different.”  My approach is systematic: I believe that what happens to one person in a relationship affects everyone in it.  I like to foster a non-judgmental, safe, and nurturing environment where individuals of all colors, beliefs, sexual orientations, and origins can make longstanding positive changes, improve their relationships with one another, develop understanding, and work through the difficulties that all go through.

I enjoy working with traditional and non-traditional families, including single parents, adoptive/foster families, LGBT and multi-generational.   My experience comprises working with parents and children facing dilemmas of relating, communicating, adjusting, and understanding one another.  I also work with families working through life stressors, including behavioral issues, academic concerns, divorce / separation, illnesses, and those who have endured or are enduring violence and traumatic events.

Considering that each individual and family has a unique personality, I tailor my work to the individual needs of each system using a variety of approaches, including

  • Talk Therapy
  • Somatics
  • Solution Focus
  • Narrative Approaches
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Individual Therapy
  • Child-Parent Therapy
  • Brief Therapy
  • Parenting Support and Techniques Development
